Pet Air Purifiers

Almost every home in the US have at lease on Pet because we love them. However, the care of these animals do come with some labor and possible allergy issues due to the release of dander. Pet dander is composed of tiny and microscopic flecks of skin shed by animals, including those with fur or feathers.

Pet dander enters the body when we breathe in the contaminated air. The dander enters the mucus membrane of the nose and lungs enters and may result in allergic reactions in susceptible individuals due to allergy to proteins in the bodies of the dust mites that live on dander.

Pet allergy results from inflammation of the nasal passages and may cause a variety of signs and symptoms such as:

  • Sneezing
  • Runny nose
  • Itchy, red, or watery eyes
  • Nasal congestion
  • Itchy nose, the roof of mouth or throat
  • Postnasal drip
  • Cough
  • Facial pressure and pain
  • Frequent awakening
  • Swollen, blue-colored skin under your eyes
  • In a child, frequent upward rubbing of the nose

If you want to avoid the ill effects of dander, you may want to find an air purifier that features filters for both dander and odor. Our list of air purifiers can trap pet dander particles and odors.
